What are the benefits of doing a cleansing facial treatment?

Besides getting the skin clean on a deeper level, what are the benefits?

What are the concequences of girls shaving their facial hair?

Will it grow back more noticeably, just more coarse, or what?|||It will grow back faster, thicker and darker and it may also cause a rash and the hair will be stubbly. i would recommend you to wax any facial hair as then it wont grow back for ages and when it does it will be finer hairs|||YOU WILL HAVE MORE HAIR AND THEY WIL GROW FASTER.

Don%26#039;t do it.. tweeze them or wax.|||it would grow thicker|||you will get man hair, wax or use Nair...

What is the best way to remove dry facial skin?

I am 34 and my face is starting to feel rather dry. I was thinking about a chemical peel or microderm abrasion. Does anyone know the difference?|||A chemical peel or micro will dry your skin out further. There are some wonderful inexpensive and expensive moisturizers on the market that would work beautifully.

Suggestions:

1. Oil of Olay Regenerist ( This is a product I use and it works lovely. I am a bit older than you are and I love the complements I receive)

2. At Dillard%26#039;s or Macy%26#039;s they have wonder counters that distribute samples of provided items. This will give you an idea of how they react with your skin. (My sister uses Lancome, a product I love to dip into when I visit her) She swears by it!

Now, I have dark skin and as such purchase some products based on this. But, I love Oil of Olay because it doesn%26#039;t seem to matter. I went through the dry patch stage and remember how tight and irritating my face felt.

Like I say, no need to spend money on something you will have to do again and again, until I really need too! lol

Oil of Olay can be found at just about every Market near you or at your local Pharmacy (Walgreen%26#039;s, Walmart, Rite-aide) etc.

Lancome can be found at Dillard%26#039;s and Macy%26#039;s!

Good Luck! Until then try a bit of cocoa butter at night before bed. This will soften your skin until you can purchase something better.|||read tips on skincare and home remedies to help you better on this site|||Aapri dual cleansing pads are brilliant and yet so gentle. You could also try a richer moisturiser.|||The main difference between a chemical peel and microdermabrasion is the fact that the former uses an acid to exfoliate the skin while the later uses a high pressure flow of crystals to abrade the top layer of the epidermis.

Both light chemical peels and microdermabrasion are non-invasive: they don%26#039;t hurt, need no downtime and can be performed at home with special products. They are both efficient in diminishing and removing superficial acne scars, fine wrinkles, stretch marks, clogged pores and dull skin.

Before you decide to try either of the two procedures, you should see a dermatologist in order to try and find out the cause of your skin dryness. It usually has deeper causes and the removal of the top layer of the skin will not solve the problem but only delay the appearance of dryness for a couple of days.

Hope this helps,

Joanna.|||Do you use a moisturizer? Are you using the right cleanser? Our skin changes as we age, so you might have to change your face cleansing routine. Also make sure you are drinking enough water.

Peels are basically poring an acid on your face and burning off the first few layers of skin. Microderm abrasion is like sanding a few layers of your skin off, but it%26#039;s not as invasive as peels. Both are used for wrinkles, not dry skin. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend doing a home kit. It%26#039;s the only skin you have and scarring is permanent.

If your face itches and has flakes, you might have a skin condition so go see a dermatologist. I developed one after extreme stress.|||A quality face moisturizer would do just fine as a dry skin treatment.|||Lazer removement. Or wax it off.|||try the home kits first, and save money

Does anyone know any good homemade recipes for facial masks?

How can I lighten my upper forearm and facial skin?

Well... Sun hits pretty hard down here; Id like to be all on one color, because I see myself comparing my facial and forearm skin to my legs or my chest and I see lots of differences. Can I get tips about being all in one color?|||Umm.

Use sunscreen and use SKIN bleach, or whitening cream. You can get it in Malaysia but i%26#039;m not sure about the states.. or Canada.

Be careful using the bleach.|||A product that I%26#039;ve used that I feel works really well is Fair %26amp; Flawless- Body Lightening Cream.

It is an ultra-moisturizing cream that rebuilds your damaged skin cells, and it uniformly lightens your skin so that it is even and not blotchy looking. There is no irritation and no odor, which are two main factors, (for me anyway). It contains purified sea water and soy milk which smooths and softens your skin, and it gives you a nice glow to your skin.

It%26#039;s a great product, I highly recommend it.|||You can lighten your skin with bleach-the kind made for skin.|||i agree with PaRaM

What is the best way to remove a facial mole without surgery?

I have a mole on my face and I have had it a long time, so I really just want to get rid of it. I went to the dermatologist and they said it was fine, so removing it surgically seems to be out of the question right now.|||Do NOT follow the advise to tie a string around the base of the mole to try and pull it off. That is the worse thing you can do and you will end up with a larger scar that will look worse than the mole.

Your dermatologist can remove the mole, but because it is not medically necessary, insurance won%26#039;t cover it. The cost to remove it depends on the size and location of the mole (i.e., moles to remove on or around the nose are much more difficult, than one that is on a flat surface like your forehead). It really should not be that expensive to do the procedure; approx. $350.

Depending on the type of mole, there is also the option to shave the mole off...another procedure that should ONLY be performed by a trained dermatologist.

Good Luck.

Your Friendly Dermatologist.|||The doctor just meant that it%26#039;s not medically necessary to have it removed. You know? Because it%26#039;s not cancerous or anything.

You can still have it surgically removed. It would be like a form of plastic surgery. Your insurance will probably not cover it but it shouldn%26#039;t be that expensive.

Unless the mole is very large and really makes you uncomfortable, rethink it. I have this crush on a professional athlete who has a pretty noticeable mole on his face and all the photographers airbrush it out! I love that mole!

What is facial soap works the best and why?

My skin has always annoyed me I wash it twice a day rarely use toner and I don%26#039;t use moisturizer. I have used Neutrogena a lot in the past, Proactive for like a week but then I got a rash. So what brand do you use? What is your routine? And does it work? Also I%26#039;m not looking for stuff that costs $20 unless it really does work but still I%26#039;m aiming for stuff I can purchase at Target.|||I have been using Neutrogena%26#039;s glycerin bar soap. So far so good. It cleans well and is gentle, not overdrying. And it%26#039;s cheap too. I wash my face twice a day.

I think it%26#039;s about $3.00 and you can find it at Target.|||I use Cetaphil facial cleanser and it works really well. It%26#039;s very gentle and doesn%26#039;t irritate your skin. How acceptable is it for photographers to have facial piercings?

Alright. Well I realize that photography is a more artistic field and therefore body mods are slightly more accepted, but I would like honest answers. If any of you are photographers or know of photographers with tattoos and piercings, please let me know. |||I attend a photography school and it seems like everyone there has some form of piercing or tattoo.

When looking for a job, some people may look down on it though.|||that depends upon what industry you are planning to work in. There is artistic photography, they type where you are simply taking photos which interest you in your and hopefully selling them. Then there is commercial photography, the type where people hire you to document events or items.

in the latter a facial piecing may be a hindrance as although many people are comfortable with piercings it does not convey an image of professionalism.|||I would hire a photographer based on their abilities and portfolio. They could be purple with red polka dots for all I care! (The weirdest looking people seem to have the most creativity though). My best friend though sees the photographer as another status symbol for her wedding and will hire only the prettiest and professional looking photographer. I guess it depends on your clients.|||Since most photographers own their own business, if they have a facial piercing, that%26#039;s their choice.

As far as hiring a photographer with a facial piercing, being OBJECTIVE, the piercing has nothing to do with his/her ability to photograph. When removing facial hair, what on earth is threading and how does it work?

My class mate says she does it, and i have no idea what she in on about!|||Threading%26#039;s an old way to remove hair. It continues to be practiced by many in the Eastern part of the world. Unwanted hair is removed from the roots with the use of a cotton thread by trained practitioners. Today, threading hair removal is the hottest method of facial hair removal and continues to grow in popularity in the U.S. and worldwide. The origins of threading is not clear, with some claiming it began in India, the Middle East or China. However, threading can cut the skin, even if done by experienced threading practitioners.

Personally I don%26#039;t fancy it %26amp; waxing hurts like a bugger with the redness lasting for a good few hours. I%26#039;ve found a thing called the %26quot;silky mitt%26quot; its a mini epilating strip sold in boots/superdrug etc, really cheap, doesn%26#039;t hurt %26amp; does the job great. Check it out.|||forget about threading and think about waxing its less painful and more effective.|||Threading kills!!! I wouldn%26#039;t recommend it. Why don%26#039;t you try using wax?|||You use a small piece of thread (cotton or similar). I think its doubled and moved over your skin in a twisting manner. The thread is supposed to pull the unwanted hair out as it twists and turns over your skin.

I%26#039;ve never tried it but plan to one I find a local beautician who provides this service.|||Threading is an asian technique used to remove facial hair. It is used for eyebrow shaping and upper lip hair removal. Threading is a proven age-old form of facial hair removal practiced in India, China and Middle East. The procedure uses a 100% cotton thread which is twisted and pulled along the skin surface of unwanted hair, lifting hair directly from the follicle.

I think it is quite painful, like quick tweezing. It is reputedly better for your skin than waxing or plucking.|||They use thread like what you would sew with and run it across your face. It pulls the hair out and can be more accurate than wax|||There is a lady that does this in liverpool albert dock sunday market, its amazing to watch, she has a piece of thread, between her teeth and the other end in her hand and she loops the thread so it catches the tiny hairs, its very fast and although Ive never had it done, the people Ive seen dont seem to be in any discomfort, if you search the yellow pages (uk) etc for beauty salons most are starting to do this treatment, the great thing is NO chemicals!|||it%26#039;s just a technique using a fine string to grab facial hair and pull it...i%26#039;ve never try it before, but from what i heard, threading is not as painful as tweezing|||A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt

What real benefits can I see from a facial peel or microdermabrasion?

I have some sun damage, sun spots and want to improve my skin. Having it look smoother and more refined would be best. Face washes and stuff haven%26#039;t done much, so I%26#039;m considering a peel or microdermabrasion. How well does this work and what can I expect to see. Also, what negative after effects can I expect? The one I%26#039;m looking at is an alternative to a chemical peel and says non-invasive. Uses an enzyme that must work similarly, but without the negative after effects.|||We have a revolutionary exfoliating glove called the Magic Peeling Glove庐. YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE DEAD SKIN COMING OFF when you use it!! It is 100% natural and works on acne, age spots, sun spots, rosacea and even cellulite. It makes your skin softer and more radiant than ever! Please visit our website at www.magicpeelingusa.com for more information including a product demonstration.|||I agree with the previous poster...go to a dermatologist. They can give your face a once over and determine what is best for your skin and your type of damage. I, too, have lots of sun damage. I went to the derm. She suggested chemical peels. I had one last summer, Jessener%26#039;s peel. I saw some improvement, but now enought. I went yesterday and they gave me the Jessener%26#039;s with a little TCA thrown in...I look horrible right now, but in a few days, it will be great.|||for that kind of treatment, skip the spa treatment and go straight to a dermatologist. lets start with negative effects, your face can/might be red and a little sensitive after the procedure but that goes away within a couple days. A peel or microderabrasion will remove the old tired damaged skin layers in your uperdermis and give you a %26#039;fresh canvas%26#039; to start over with. it won%26#039;t correct 100% of the damage, but it will give you a chance to start new and make and keep good skin care habits. I love face peels for my face, but i generally get it in the winter or at a time i know i wont be outside for a long time as that can set you back to where you were. its worth it completely, if you wouldn%26#039;t need a peel or anythign yet, your dermatologist can prescribe or suggest a less powerful option for you, i have always used Murad Fruit Enzyme face mask (at Sephora or through Murad), after my first peel i still had a little damage and my derm. suggested that. go for it, your dermatologist won%26#039;t try to sell you on something either, they will tell you whats teh best for your face and skin type.

Does your face swell a little through the night?|||If you eat alot of salty things like chips and popcorn, ect. and just eat alot of not nesicarily bad thing, but things high in soduim, it will make your face swell, making features like eyes, cheeks, nose swollen in the morning. Try reducing the amount of soduim you eat and if that doesnt work you can go see a dermitologist if it really bothers you. I have the same problem with my eyes when I load up on junk food and stuff. =D good luck.|||i dont think so but who knows|||Usually, when you wake up your body is telling itself that its time to get up and moving. How to reduce facial swelling and numbness?

I just had jaw surgery 6 weeks ago and for a month I was on medication and needed ice and warm heat. My surgeon now tells me to stop taking the medication and stop using the ice and heat, but my face is still considerably swollen and numb.

What should I do/take to speed up my recovery process?|||stop getting into fights.|||O,K., first let me say that I haven%26#039;t had to do something like this before but with what I understand about the body and muscles I think I can help you. I found that most swelling is because of muscles that have been tightened because of some trauma to them. You have two sets of muscles that are the primary targets for you to feel better. Here%26#039;s the first:

Place your thumbs under your chin near the front. You should feel a very hard muscle in the middle, press into that from both sides and hold. Relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don%26#039;t tense up any part of your body. When you feel the muscle start to relax, slowly raise your head, going only as fast as the release allows, until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute longer.

the next one is a little more complicated I guess, finding the place for this one is trickier.

Place your thumbs behind your ears and rest them between the jaw and the skull. I usually rest my fingers on my head while doing this one. Press in on the back of the jaw and towards the top of it and hold the pressure there. Relax again. After 30 to 45 seconds the release should be there. Slowly lift your head while maintaining the pressure but not going any faster than the release allows. When you have your neck fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute longer.

With those muscles released you should find some relief. These exercises you can do over and over if needed.

How do I get rid of fleas around the facial area of my kitten?

I gave a bath to my 2 month old kitten with flea removal shampoo but there are still fleas felt. So I went to the store to get a flea collar but all the fleas have moved to the facial area. How can I get rid (EXTERMINATE!!) of the fleas?|||Take the flea collar off the kitten. They can be very dangerous for them!

I would use a pair of tweezers to pick the fleas from the face. When you get a flea dunk it in a mug of very hot water to die.

At two months of age the kitten can have Advantage or Frontline which is absolutely the best way to get rid of fleas. The vet will give you the proper dosage to get started. It may be less expensive in future to get the stuff online and start with the vet to make sure you understand how much the kitten should have on him/her.|||To safely kill fleas read the following free article.

http://www.ehow.com/how_5092105_kill-fleas-anywhere.html Report Abuse
|||At 2 months your kitten is now old enough to use Frontline or Advantage flea preventatives, and please apply one of them immediately. Flea collars are ineffectual and dangerous (cats can hang themselves from the collar, and will often chew on them if they can, which will poison them).

Use the Frontline every 2-6 weeks as directed, and you will find in a few months that there are no fleas in your home, yard, or on your cat.|||you have to wash the cats face. use regular soap and water lots of water be careful around the eyes so no soap gets in. put vasaline or something on the face and leave it on to drown the fleas then wash again. good luck if it doesn%26#039;t work you may have to take the cat to the vet for a flea dip|||Since you are dealing with a kitten---take that flea collar off of her NOW! Call your vet about this and see what they recommend. Do NOT use ANYTHING made for adult cats on a kitten, you could kill your kitty---also do NOT use ANYTHING over-the-counter on ANY CAT. If you can see the fleas around her face, then she has them all over her body (she%26#039;s just too furry for you to see them, but they%26#039;re there). Your vet may have a KITTEN flea soap, or even a treatment such as Frontline or Advantage--MADE FOR KITTENS. Do NOT use the adult kind on her! Best of luck in getting this under control, and you will. Last year I had a total infestation of fleas on my (adult) strictly INDOOR cat. How this happened is anybody%26#039;s guess, but just one application of Frontline Plus did the job---but, you CANNOT use this product on a kitten. Just follow your vets instructions.|||Take the kitten to the vets.|||you have to get the flea collar off IMMEDIATELY....they are poison especially if it is a Hartz brand...the cat is too young for ANY type of flea care...my cat almost died due to a flea collar...keep bathing until there are no more fleas that is all you have to do and make sure that you get all the flea eggs too|||Most important, get the flea collar off the cat and get something from your vet to treat the kitten topically. Over-the-counter drugs do not have the same dose and ingredients as the stuff that vets can sell. Second, fleas only live about 10% of the time on the pet, so you need to also rid the source. Bedding and baskets that the kitten sleeps in should be discarded. Washing in bleach or hot water will not kill all the flea eggs. Reinfestation is high if you do not clean out the source. If the kitten is indoor/outdoor you will have to treat with something like Advantage Multi every 30 days for all summer. If your kitten is indoor only, get 2 doses from your vet (Advantage Multi/Frontline/Revolution - whatever your vet feels is most appropriate, I use Advantage Multi) treat your kitten with the correct size dose, and then repeat in 30 days to kill any adults that have survived in the house. Also, vaccuum the area really well, and then empty your vaccuum right away to an outside garbage. Fleas are persistant and you want to reduce the amount of live adults to reduce the amount of eggs that can be laid again. Talk to your vet, they will have effective premise sprays and more advice. Good Luck and if you have any other dogs or cats in the house, treat them also at the same time as the kitten or this will keep happening.|||Flea collars are useless, so are shampoos I%26#039;m afraid! Collars onnly get rid of the fleas that actually touch them, and sadly fleas are clever enough to stay away, as you%26#039;ve discovered.

You need to go to a vet to get some proper treatment. You can use Frontline - at two months old you can use the spot-on (drops on back of the neck) - this stuff spreads all over the skin and all fleas on the animal will be dead within 24 hours. If you want them gone quicker, use Frontline spray - it%26#039;s messier and more unpleasant for the cat, but the fleas will be dead within a few hours.

Don%26#039;t bother anymore with shop-bought products - you%26#039;ve just discovered what a waste of time and money they are!

Waxing is the best thing, if it%26#039;s dark you can bleach it. Don%26#039;t wax after a shower or bath, do it when you know you wont be going out for a while to let the redness die down.

Hair creams stink and don%26#039;t have long lasting results but wax will gradualy weaken the hair roots.|||BIC razor :)|||Hey! There%26#039;s some crazy people here on yahoo! lol

You are girl-you should never shave facial hair so please don%26#039;t listen to those who said you should!

Simply pluck the hair with tweezers. It%26#039;s simple and cheap and you wont need to pluck again at for least 3 weeks or so. If it hurts to pluck then keep placing ice cubes (wrapped in cloth) onto your face to numb area and then pluck.|||DO NOT SHAVE OR PLUCK.

In theory by shaving or plucking you get a short term solution but in fact you are allowing the hair to grow back thicker, stronger and darker. And therefore get a fuller looking facial hair.

What you need to do is kill the hair follicle off (the bulb at the end of the hair). Electrolysis is really the only method that does this on a permanent basis.

Have you thought of seeing if your local beauty school wants models? The cost will be significantly cheaper then a beauty salon. If you have any concerns about the treatment speak to the senior lecturer (who tend to all have worked in the beauty industry). Students would be under supervision, but if you have any fears allowing them to work on you, look at a student in her final year of the course.

what is your facial cleaning ritual?

do you wear make-up?

my skin has been a mess lately..and i have no idea what type of skin I have.

I think i have combination/sensitive skin but im not really sure. I really dont have any problems until i start picking at my skin...but I can%26#039;t help it because I have these little bumps underneath my skin, they arnt red, white, and arnt black, but when i squeeze them stuff comes out and then the next day my skin is a mess! how do i get rid of this stuff under my skin?|||Start with:

1. Regular facial wash without oils.

2. Lightweight moisturizer.

3. Liquid toner.

Then I...

4. Apply spray foundation with a sponge to even my complexion.

5. Dab on concealer for acne/red spots.

For those things, I just squeeze them out GENTLY and then wash my face. I think that one of the best stuff for acne is LEMON JUICE. Just dab some on your trouble spots, and they%26#039;ll be reduced in size and inflammation within a day, and will be gone in about three days.|||st ives apricot scrub|||none just use soap water|||I use different cleansers. Don%26#039;t pick at your skin most of all. Those things underneath your skin may be pimples not ready to be popped yet, but I reccomend you don%26#039;t pop pimples.

There%26#039;s make-up for covering up those %26quot;things%26quot;. You could also use tinted moisturizer or foundation. And to make it stay on longer you could spray a little hairspray on your face. Watch the eyes, lol.

How long until my face clears up after a facial?

I heard that getting facials can sometimes lead to break outs. Well, I%26#039;m having a bad one right now, and I just want to know how long this will last, should I just leave it, or should I try all sorts of tricks to get rid of these things?

Also, I%26#039;m scheduled for another facial in two weeks. Should I go back to this person?|||Breaking out from a facial is perfectly normal, it%26#039;s just your skin purging. While none of us want to be broken out, it%26#039;s actually a good sign after you get a facial because it means the gross %26quot;stuff%26quot; in your skin is making it%26#039;s way to the surface and out of your pores.

You should definitely go back for your next appointment. Just make sure you realize the difference between an allergic reaction and breaking out...they can often look the same but if you are having an allergic reaction to something used during your facial, you need to be aware of it.

Leave your face alone, let it do it%26#039;s thing.

What is the best and safest way to remove facial hair without the hair getting thicker and returning quickly?

Okay, I am 15 and I have huge eyebrows and a hint of a mustache. Is that normal for a teen girl? I don%26#039;t want it to get thinker, darker, and bushier which is my main concern. I was thinking the safest way is just shaving the mustache off. When you shave does it remove the root? What do you think I should do? I don%26#039;t really like the idea of waxing or threading because that removes the root. And I%26#039;m not going to do anything permanent like laser now.|||Shaving does not remove the root and it will grow back darker and thicker so I sy don%26#039;t do it. Waxing is the least expensive, long lasting solution. You can generally get it done every 3-4 weeks depending on the speed of your hair growth. But it you%26#039;re afraid of the pain then bleaching might be best for you.|||DONT SHAVE!! Ok, im around your age, and I literally have the same problem (except for the eyebrow part) but the other part,ya. What exactly are the rules on male facial hair in the military?

Is the fact that you hardly ever see a moustache in the British Army any more simply a reflection of current fashions?

What is the process for actually applying to grow one- I think I%26#039;ve heard you have to apply to your CO. Is there anyone that generally isn%26#039;t allowed to grow one?

Only asking out of curiosity!|||It is more of a current trend, during the 80%26#039;s you used to see a lot more. The rules are you can grow a moustache. Beards are permitted in certain regiments for ceremonial reasons for example in my regiment, the assault Pioneer Warrant Officer is allowed to grow a full beard.

Generally you inform your Platoon Sergeant/Company Sergeant Major and tell him you are intending to grow a moustache. The rule of thumb is that you have a fortnights grace to see if you can sprout a decent growth. If you can then you are permitted to retain it. If not then you%26#039;ll be asked to shave it off. At this point you will have more than likely been the butt of many jokes within your Company for sporting a crap tache!|||Within the British Army a moustache is acceptable though generally only worn by those of slightly more experience / rank. The rule%26#039;s pertaining to Facial Hair relate to the use of the issue S10 respirator. A beard or such like would result in a poor / non airtight seal when using the respirator and could lead to death in a Nuclear, Biological or Chemical warfare situation. Traditionally some members of the Royal Navy have worn beards and indeed still do. As in times of NBC war the whole ship is sealed and no respirator is required. The Royal Air Force also have stringent rules regarding facial hair mostly pertaining to the use of gas masks / breathing apparatus.|||You have to have a %26quot;no shave chit%26quot; to grow a beard. That means there%26#039;s a medical reason that you wouldn%26#039;t be able to shave., (Skin irritation) The catch is that you%26#039;re not allowed to trim it and make it look nice. You either shave or you don%26#039;t shave at all. There%26#039;s always a catch. I%26#039;ve seen people accomplish this by shaving 4 or 5 times in one day and going to medical and claiming that they had a skin condition. They%26#039;re given a no shave chit and don%26#039;t have to shave anymore. Once a month I think.|||AR 670-1 will give you basic guidelines for military appearance, but individual units, batteries, brigades, etc... may add to this regulation. I.E. my husband%26#039;s unit specifies which type of socks they are allowed to wear to PT. (crew, ankle, tube, etc...)

Some units of the Army deployed to Afganistan are allowed to have a beard as well as a mustache. In my husband%26#039;s 9 years of service he has never been allowed to have facial hair and his hair has always had to be shorter than regulation due to unit%26#039;s additions on Ft. Bliss.

What facial powder is best for people with oily skin?

I currently use Lancome and it is a combo powder with foundation but my skin gets oily within a few hours. Does anyone know of what compact powders work best when you have oily skin?|||Totally agree with the no compact pressed powder. Before you even begin to apply make up, make sure you%26#039;re washing your face with an oil wicking wash. Neutrogena clear skin wash (the orange gel looking one) with salicylic acid will totally dry you up. Then instead of using a light moisturizer like you might use any day, on make up days, opt for a mattifying primer with SPF such as the amazing one Smashbox makes. Its usually good enough to wear alone, but if your not satisfied with the coverage, apply a quick face sweep of a loose powder. Make sure its very light of a sweep or your gonna get blotches. I know its clich茅, but bare esscentuals, the one we see on the info mertials, really is ideal for all skin types. And if you don%26#039;t want to spend bookoo bucks on the entire kit, just go down to the store, find your shade, and buy just the foundation powder alone which is twenty bucks, which is about how much you%26#039;d spend on a decent powder anyways.|||mark. has a product called MATTE-NIFICENT oil-absorbing powder ($8). The shades are ivory/nude, buff/natural, honey/golden, or almond/mocha. It really doesn%26#039;t deposit a lot of color, it is primarily to absorb oil and even tone.

Make sure to use a foundation that is oil free, which all of mark.%26#039;s are.

You might also want to try a product from their new skincare line called Matte Chance ($15). It is a moisturizer that smoothes and mattifies and is perfect for oily skin. I love this lotion- it is oil and fragrance free.|||In general, avoid compact powder... they have tiny traces of oil that helps to bind the powder together.. hence the shine never lasts long and frequent touch ups are always required.

Opt for loose tinted powder.. give ur face a nice shine-free glow.
