What is the best way to treat facial abrasions?
I got into a serious car accident couple days ago. Because of this ordeal, I have abrasions on my face (on my nose, on my mouth, and around my mouth area). What is the best way to treat these abrasions so that there will be no scarring after they have healed? When these abrasions start to heal, I know they will get irritating (pain, itchiness, etc.), any good ways to deal with these effects? Thanks for answering.|||You didn%26#039;t go to a doctor after the accident? You should have asked your doctor.
What facial wash or other product is best to minimize large pores?
i have a very oily skin, a lot of black heads, active pimples, pimple marks and as i%26#039;ve mentioned large pores. thanks in advance for your answers.|||Green wintergreen rubbing alochol, pour a bit on a tissue and wipe your face..you will see the tissue become very dirty. Do it every morning and every night before bed. This is one of those tricks that no one ever knows..The best part..the bottle is usually about 89 cents... I find it at vons or walgreens.
My husband had bad acne and he went to the dermatoligist and tried everything but this works and he is perfectly clear.

What is the best wax to remove facial hair?
Its for the sides of my upper lip. its not very long, not enough for tweezers, and its getting darker. what is the best wax to use for that area.|||I like the Sally Hansen strips|||You should try using sugaring products to remove facial hair. It%26#039;s nautral and easy to clean up and I find it doesn%26#039;t hurt as much.|||i use avon facial hair removal cream (not wax) im sure there is other brands the cream is just as effective as wax and deff less painful.
What is the best way to remove facial hair?
I usually get my eyebrows threaded, but I have a few hairs that grow on my chin (maybe 6 or 7.) They all grow in one little area on the right side of my chin. What%26#039;s the best and least expensive way to get rid of them and have them stay away the longest?|||Plucking it will damage the hair follicle and when it grows back it will not be as thick. Since it is only like 6 or 7 hairs. You could wax if you wanted too but i think plucking is the way to go. If it was a larger amount you could get laser but you are trying to save money here. So best result for the money is time plucking.....|||plucking,shaving and waxing will just make ur hair grow back more thicker coarser and fuller

How can I get rid of unattractive facial hair without spending thousands of dollars?
I am a young 30 year old- fairly attractive girl. Use waxing strips or go to a salon and get it waxed professionally though wax strips from a shop work just fine. After about 9 months of costly treatments with little improvement and severe burns i finally seen a dermatologist who told me i wasnt a candidate for laser hair removal due to my skin type and hair type...he told me to use bleach and a cream called Vanica(no longer on the market now) after plucking...i have the scars to remind me everyday...so please be careful what method you choose,i had tried the electrolysis years ago it seemed to be working but it was very slow although not as painful as what the laser was...i wish i had left it alone,as no-one else seems to have a problem with it other than myself.|||There are cheap wax kits that you can buy at most drugstores. What facial piercing would look well on a girl?
[I%26#039;m not going to include pictures]
I%26#039;m 4%26#039;9 so I%26#039;m pretty small. I%26#039;ve light brown hair with blonde streaks, my skin is kind of tanned. My eyebrows are the best feature on my face, but so are my lips. I%26#039;ve always loved the monroe and eyebrow (standard) piercings, but I%26#039;m not sure what I should get. I%26#039;ve still do ask my Dad, but he%26#039;s cool with this kind of thing so fingers crossed. I wear glasses, and they match my skin.

Lip is cute but if ur kissing someone i think it would be a bother.. I would NOT get a monroe because i don%26#039;t really like them but i don%26#039;t wanna be a negative response. I would ask some of ur friends tht know ur personallity and see u alot. If ur a sporty girl or a cheerleader i would get an EYEBROW one..|||I wouldn%26#039;t do that to your pretty face. An eyebrow piercing is out with glasses. A lip piercing is apt to get infected and disgusting (not to mention, how do you put on lipstick?). If you%26#039;re bent on this, a monroe would be best. I guarantee you will wind up with an ugly scar on your pretty face, and seriously regret it.|||Don%26#039;t get a monroe those are so weird get a lip piecing.|||well,

What facial features would the most beautiful woman on earth have?
This is just a little survey. I want you to imagine the most beautiful woman in the world , and complete this survey:
Facial features:
-Nose:How big or wide will it be?
-Eyes:How are they spaced, what shape and color?
-Lips:How big, what color.
-Add anything you would like.
What hair color?
What skin color?
What height?
What weight?
What kind of body?
Add anything you might like.|||I think there is no standard, a woman is beautiful is because her eyes match her face which in turn match her nose which in turn match her lip and etc. I believe it is a combination of things that happen to match each other that result in a pleasant look. What I am trying to say is two woman might have different looking nose but because their other features matches so they both look beautiful even though they have different looking nose. But then there are of course some people have such bad looking eyes, nose or lips that no combination of other features save their look.|||Nose: medium size, cute
Eyes: Slanted, brown
Lips: angelina jolie, pink
Hair: brown
SKin: tann/golden brown

What home remedy is good to close facial pores?
Since a young girl, I have always had oily skin. Now that I%26#039;m older, my pores are noticeable, this is where my low self esteem come into play. What can I use to close these pores on my face?|||You can safely, quickly and permanently reduce pores by massaging using an essential oil - olive, sweet almond and grape seed oil and certain others are excellent. They have been used by specialists to treat/cure acne as they lessen skin%26#039;s production of oil, they do not clog or cause breakouts (See USER%26#039;S happy response below ***).
First tighten skin by opening mouth 3/4%26quot; and pulling lips firmly back against teeth. Use finger tips and front of fingers and sometimes palms depending where on face you massage. Do forward and back massage - a circular motion will not work. Do over and over firmly and quite vigorously. For quickest results do each day for 15 to 30 min.(Doesn%26#039;t have to be all in one session).
Pores will greatly minimize in as little as 2 to 3 days. If massage entire face you will quickly have a smooth, radiant, tight, totally blemish free, healthy skin and you will not need to use any other product or treatment ever again - not even moisturizers. Oils are perfect natural moisturizers.

What is the best way to relieve facial skin irritation?
My acne is slowly clearing up but it is leaving behind irritation and marks. How can i help my skin heal?
I use a nice algae cleanser by anthony and an oil free moisturizer by Boscia. I am also using a Willow Bark Break Out treatment by boscia.
My skin is really sensitive and i have lately been using moderately warm water to clean my skin and ice cold water afterwards to close my pores up. I have an alcohol free toner by Anthony products but i have never used it. I understand that it helps close up pores but i am already doing that by using cold water after i cleanse my skin.
If i do start using it can i just splash it on my face so i won%26#039;t have to use the cotton pads?
Is green tea a good way to use as a toner?
And when i use the break out treatment should i use it after i moisturize of before, because i cant really moisturize when i put it on before because it mixes with the moisturizer.|||Don%26#039;t over do the treatments and products you put on your face. What gets rid of and relieves a facial sunburn fast?
My face is the worst part of my sunburn and it is killing me!|||Aloe Vera|||Put lots of oil-free lotion on your face very frequently to ensure it doesn%26#039;t peel. Wear light makeup, if any, as heavy makeup irritates the burn and can draw attention to it. If you want to use foundation to cover up, mineral foundation is the best for it.
Stay cool and hydrated. It feels good to rinse your face with cool water or rub ice on it. And sit in front of a fan. It also feels great to go swimming, but be sure to swim indoors, or with loads of high SPF sunscreen on, or even with clothes on if that%26#039;s allowed.
As for minimizing the appearance of sunburn, I recommend red and pink clothes. The red in your clothes makes you appear less red. Stay away from blue, especially navy or royal blue. It makes you look more red. Also, wear loose, comfortable clothing that won%26#039;t irritate the burn, causing it to stay longer. Use lotion or gel with aloe. I like the kind that cools.

What is the best way to apply facial moisturizer?
Is it by dotting it all over your face then blending it into your skin or blending in the palms of your hands first then applying it to your face?|||Yes,by dotting it on your face, but makesure you do it in an upwards direction...but make sure you do this first...warm it up in the palm of your hand so it glides on smoother.!!!|||start with your neck...and then apply upward strokes and...get acne..and then u can have another question...
hey u dont need that stuff...your skin is fine just wash your face with h20...

What i do is smear it into my hands and rub it onto my face and then dot where I need a little more.
Any kind of touching on your face pulls at it for wrinkles, you dont need to go a certain direction or anything.|||Yes, you dot it all over your skin and then all together you blend it into your skin. ONLY BY RUBBING IT IN AN UPWARDS MOTION. always go up because by rubbing downwards yourll get wrinkles in the future...|||blend on your face and do it in an outward motion to resist gravity and prevent wrinkles. Except around your eyes go inward.|||alot of people do need moisturizers, especially as they age. I have read that the best time to apply moisturizers is to do it right after a shower, or a wash of the face with warm water in order for the lotion to penetrated the pores. You should always be very gentle with your skin around the eye area. I put my lotion in my hand and then apply it to my face, but your hands should be clean! I know that most moisturizers say you only need a little, but I apply mine generously, as most of the ingredients are in a diminished dose for over the counter.

How can i get rid of my facial hair. Is waxing good or threading?
which is the better option? Is it true that waxing make ur skin loose?
I have tried both but i do not know which is the better for the skin And laser is pretty expensive.|||Threading is by far much better than waxing. The hair re-growth is the same as you already know, but with waxing you can have problems with burns (if it is hot wax), the mess in general, the rashes and the loosening of the skin.
Threading being the better option also has some drawbacks, namely you need to find a salon or someone to do it for you as well as you still end up having spots after your session and the thread itself, because it is scraping against your skin, it is still causing some harm to your skin but not as much as waxing.
To avoid any of the problems in both waxing and threading you could use this new threader called eze-tweeze which does the job just like if you were threading but does not scrape your face and won%26#039;t give you any spots. What is the right age to start facial microdermabrasion?

What is your most favorite home remedy facial system?
I prefer the aspirin mask. Although the question on whether it is in fact dangerous or not, I really love it. But what other alternatives are there for me that can exfoliate my dead skin cells and moisturize my skin?|||I use sulfuric soap every morning and evening. it really helps! you just wash your face with it.|||my complete favorite is getting a green tea bag opening it up and using the tea as an exfoliatier ......sugar works too|||I like to talk a milk bath sometimes. That can be really calming for your skin. Also a green tea bath is good. Just put a few green tea bags in your bath water and let them steep in there for a few minutes before you get in. I%26#039;ve also heard it suggested to go ahead and put 4 or 5 tea bags in boiling water while letting your bath water run slightly cooler than usual, than after the tea bags have steeped pour the hot water and the tea bags into your bath water. You can also place the tea bags over your eyes.
Get some dried lavender and put it in a pot of water, let it boil and put a towel over your head. The steam will open your pores and the smell of the lavender will relax you, also I hear lavender is good for your skin. After that splash your face with ice water and apply astringent.
I%26#039;ve always heard that sugar and honey mixed together to make a scrub is good. I have not personally tried it (yet) but I hear its as good as the aspirin mask. I heard the aspirin mask is only dangerous to pregnant women so if you ever get pregnant you might want to try that.
Using beach sand or kosher salt can be great for feet but I would never use it on my face.
Using Witch Hazel as an astringent works just as good as any other, and is all natural and more economical.
Rinsing your hair in beer or coke is supposed to make your shiny. I have not personally tried it but I have friends who do it all the type.
Olive oil is great for skin in moderation. Its all natural and fairly inexpensive compared to other treatments. Just smooth some on extra dry areas like knees and elbows and leave it on overnight and the next day your skin feels like heaven. I read an article about a woman who worked at Vogue who used to slather her whole body in it every single night, but I would never do that. Oils tend to stain your sheets (so if you try it wear pjs you don%26#039;t care about) and they can also clog your pores if you use them too often.
My all time favorite home remedy is Milk of Magnesia. I put it on like a mask a couple of times a week. Milk of Magnesia is something people use to make heartburn go away I think. I%26#039;ve never had to use it for my stomach but you can find it in any pharmacy. Its really cheap and lasts for years. All you do is wet a cotton ball in the solution and dab it all over your face. It will be clearish white. Put it all over your face and neck. Then let it dry and leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. It is very mild so you can really leave it on for a very long time but it flakes a lot so its best not to let it stay on for more than 10 minutes otherwise it%26#039;ll get all over the place. Just rinse your face in lukewarm water and then in freezing cold water, then apply astringent. This mask will make your pores absolutely invisible. I like to apply it to places where I think I might have a pimple coming up and leave it on overnight. If I do that then usually I never get a pimple at all.

What is the best ingredient for a facial moisturizer to have?
There are SO many choices like retanoids, antioxidents, lycopene, vitamin e %26amp; a, alpha beta hydroxy, caffine, soy, grape seed, tea tree! OMG please tell me what to chose for maximum radiance! And yes I use sunscreen and wear hats outside.|||The best facial moisturizer is one that hydrates the skin, and protects the skin so you don%26#039;t lose any moisture once you apply it.
Its hard to pick one certain ingredient, it depends on what you want the moisturizer to do for your face. And depends on if you have dry or oily skin too.
Here are some good choice for combination skin. Aveeno Positively smooth facial moisturizer or Clarins Hydration Plus moisturizer spf 15. Clarins is great for me its grease-free %26amp; is a great base for my makeup. OH and it doesnt cost too much.

Do you have any suggestions for hiding facial piercings at work?
I want to get my old labret piercing back but I have a job where I need to look professional. I don%26#039;t have people up in my face so I think I could get away with it if I found some way to make it not very noticeable.
I%26#039;m thinking something along the lines of a clear glass piece of jewelry. What are some good exercises to improve facial circulation?
So I%26#039;m looking for some exercises to improve my appearance. I had acne quite bad and still have bumpy skin from where there were scars. I use Bio Oil all the time and it works fantastic. But I would really like to tone my face a bit. I also suffer from purple bags under my eyes. I am very fair skinned too, so I would like a way to improve my circulation around my face.
Thanks for your help.|||massage your face - it can really help with circulation. There are excercises as well, like opening your mouth very wide and sticking out your tongue, then scrunching your mouth closed. But they are controversial, in that they may also cause wrinkles. Nothing but surgery helps bags under eyes.

How do I permanently get rid of facial hair other than lasers?
I%26#039;m a guy who hates shaving every day. I don%26#039;t like how it looks or how it feels. What causes facial to grow in the first place and how can I get rid of it?|||Facial hair is known as a secondary sexual characteristic, and grows from folicles which become active usually (but not always) after puberty.
There are clippers you can buy that, while plucking hairs, delivers a shock to the folicle itself and destroys it. There are also DIY laser kits... but the `safest` way of permanently disabling the folicles is to get professional laser treatment.

Is it good to use two different facial washes?
I%26#039;ve been washing my face with two different facial washes at night, Lancome Milky Cream Cleanser to wash off my makeup, and Cetaphil daily facial wash afterwards. Is it good to use two different facial washes or would I get better results (clear skin) by sticking to just one brand? If so, which brand should I stick to?|||It is ok to us two different facial washes as long as they are just facial washes and not an anti wrinkle brand as well. Certain products that are for reducing age signs use different things and you dont want to mix those. Its also extremely important that you use a moisturizer. I would recommend a lotion verses a cream if you have oily skin. I assume you do since you wash your face so much. Hope this helps.

I have had truly remarkable success diminishing forehead lines, crows feet, under eye, laugh lines. etc. by special massaging using completely safe, low cost, essential oils. Olive, almond and jojoba are excellent. Rubbing on the lines over and over greatly reduces them and helps prevent others forming. Forehead: Use front of fingers held together and, starting from one side of forehead, do a series of short forward and back strokes - about 5 or 6 - blending one into the next all the way to the other side. For best, quickest results, do quite vigorously and repeat several times. Crows Feet: Can be very quickly greatly minimized by rubbing up and down on them quite vigorously with first three fingers held close together. Laugh lines: Using finger tips to massage vigorously directly along the length of the line with finger tips (first tighten skin there by partially opening mouth and pulling lips firmly back against teeth). Even deep lines can be greatly diminished. For faster results do 2 or 3 times or a day. See clear fading of lines in one to three weeks - depending on how often and how vigorous you have have made it.

If you want to get an anti-aging solution that will get rid of wrinkles, fine lines, etc. on your face and prevent them from forming in the future, you need to find out what causes unwanted aging signs to form first. This way, you%26#039;ll know exactly what needs to be done to keep your skin youthful so you won%26#039;t have to choose a product blindly.
Unfortunately, most people choose anti aging facial products based on the wrong reasons. Some of these reasons are:
*Brand name of the product
*Because it is the %26#039;best selling%26#039; product (this only means they have the best marketing methods)
*Because of what the anti aging facial product promises on it%26#039;s label
*PRICE (by far the WORST reason to buy a product)
Consumers who make buying decisions based on these deciding factors are setting themselves up for failure. And to just think that all they had to do was do a little research beforehand to find out what it takes to prevent and reverse the aging process on your skin. What a shame...
But I can%26#039;t talk much I guess; I use to do the same thing. After I bought about a half a dozen different anti aging facial products, I decided that I needed to chance my approach.
Here%26#039;s what I did: I figured that if I wanted to get an effective treatment for my problem, I needed to find out what causes aging signs to develop in the first place. Then, if I could identify specific ingredients that worked best at addressing these causes, then I%26#039;d lead myself to effective anti aging facial products.
I found out that there was three main causes of aging skin: 1) loss of collagen and elastin protein, 2) damage causes by free radicals, and 3) low levels of hyaluronic acid.
Once I knew this, all I had to do what find ingredients that effectively addressed and prevented these causes, and this would lead me to the best anti aging facial products.

What facial cleanser and moisturiser would you recommend that can be found at a drugstore?

What does it take to get facial skin clean?
It seems like no matter what I try, I can%26#039;t seem to get my facial skin clean enough.
I scrub with hot water, a sponge and glycerin soap. I can scrub until my skin squeaks and feels raw. It makes no difference, because I still end up with a lot of grime on the cotton ball when I follow up with astringent toner. I use benzoyl peroxide cream after the astringent.
What the devil does it take to get facial skin REALLY clean?|||Start by washing face with plain warm water. It will open up your pores. Cold water will make your pores close up and you can%26#039;t get as deep of a clean that way. Use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. Apply to your entire face and neck. Leave it on there for a few minutes. Remove with a wet wash cloth and scrub your face a little while removing the cleanser. Follow up with toner.|||Well, with all of the irritants you%26#039;re using, no wonder you get so dirty! Hot water on your sensitive facial skin? Scrubbing hard until it feels raw? Be gentle. Try washing gently and thoroughly with warm water and a mild soap. Pay special attention to the chin, nose, and forehead. (also called the T-zone) Don%26#039;t wash too often either. All that does is take away the protective oils of your skin away faster than they can reproduce. Without that last protecting layer, your pores will be open for all the dirt and grime to come and and cause blackheads, whiteheads, and grease. And maybe it%26#039;s the toner that you%26#039;re finding on the cotton ball; who knows? Try to skip the toner one night and check out the results. Good luck.
P.S. If this is no help, try asking a professional dermatologist. Good luck!

What are some good products for facial waxing?
I want to wax my eyebrows, cheeks and upper lip. What are some good kits you can buy at the drugstore?|||i have used the home products but i have always found that they left my sensitive skin around my eyes irritated. my eyebrows were always left a very akward shape. if i were you i would splurge on an eyebrow wax but use the drugstore product for upper lip and cheeks because the shape isnt important or precise. i liked nair the most out of all the products i tried, i also liked aveeno cream after, it kept the swelling and stinging to a minimum. good luck!|||get the nair for sensative skin... do the creme not the wax--then you won;t have funny shaped eye brows nor will you have to worry about that red spot|||I like the Sally Hansen Microwave Eyebrow, Lip and Face Wax. How do I deal with a facial blood blister?
I have a blood blister on my face after I tried to pop what looked like a pimple, but apparently wasn%26#039;t. It is tender and bright red and extremelly big, what should I do to it?|||I had a big blood blister and my neighbor told me to get a washcloth...get it wet and squeeze all the water out of it. Then put it into the microwave oven for about a min. When it comes out it will be very hot, but the heat will draw the blood up and out. It opens the pores. But you have to leave it on the blister for a while. Hope that helps.
Is there any website that shows facial features in relation 2 ethnicity?

What is the difference between a facial scrub and micro dermabrasion?
I have used both and really didn%26#039;t notice a difference between the 2 they kinda both gave me the same results. They simple exfoliate and get rid of all the dead skin cells still lying on the surface.
Im 22 and have genetically really good skin already. I just wanted to give themboth a try maybe that is why I didn%26#039;t see much of a ddifference|||Micro dermabrasion is for exfoliating and getting rid of blemishes. Facial scrub is just for exfoliating. You probably have really good skin and only need to use facial scrub 2 times a week. Micro derm is for people how have had really bad acne and need to improve their skin. Save you money and what til you need it.

What are the evolutionary benefits of facial hair? Or is it a remnant of previous stages?
If we are supposed to have facial hair, and if it has a practical, physical use, then why is it common practice to shave it off? And why don%26#039;t women have as much?|||It, and other secondary sexual characteristics, *possibly* had a role in sexual selection. (Females preferred males that had facial hair.) But other than that, the fact that men have it and women don%26#039;t is evidence that it serves no useful function unrelated to sexual selection, and thus would be a remnant of earlier ancestors.|||God abhors the practice of shaving your facial hair, it says it loudly and clearly in the Bible.
Evolutionary benefits? You still believe in that fairy tale?|||Supposedly, testosterone is a partial immunosuppressant -- that is, men with more testosterone would be more likely to catch diseases.
At some point, it may have been beneficial to have facial hair to delay biting flies in biting us under our chins and on our necks. Women, with their superior immune systems, could better weather the microorganisms transmitted by a fly bite.

How do we get rid of facial hair apart from having laser treatment?

What is the best brand of facial cleanser?
I%26#039;m going to Walmart and i wanna buy a new facial cleanser any recommendations?|||Neutrogena Liquid or Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleaner. What is the best method of facial hair removal?
My daughter is very self-conscious about the hair over her upper lip and wants to remove it but I%26#039;m afraid that once she does it will only grow back darker and/or thicker. Since I don%26#039;t have this problem I don%26#039;t know what advice to give her or what woud be the best method.
Please, some suggestions based on experience would be greatly appreciated!|||Bleaching is best if she has pale skin. Otherwise, the blond fuzz will standout even more against dark skin.
Another at home solution is to use a depilatory designed for the face. The down side is that a depilatory can irritate the skin and it can feel weird on the upper lip. Plus it may also smell a bit.
Take her to a good, experience aesthetician to have her upper lip waxed. It will grow back finer over time. If she has sensitive skin she can asked for a cold wax.
It%26#039;s a good idea to have a soothing balm on hand for afterwards. Kiehl%26#039;s Lip Balm #1 %26amp; Aquaphor Healing Ointment are good. You can apply a cold compress and then the balm to sooth the skin.
Waxing isn%26#039;t all that bad but it takes some getting used to. Also, your upper lip is sensitive and might be a little dry afterwards and these products are the best I%26#039;ve found.
Some people prefer hydrocortisone cream, Neosporin or aloe gel.
Note: people using Retin-A or Differin should not wax. These medications thin the skin and waxing could tear off top layers.
Although there are wax strips designed for home use, I don%26#039;t recommend inexperienced people do this. It is important to take the strip off in the correct direction and you want it to work the first time. Practice may make perfect but you%26#039;ll have red, blotchy skin.
Threading is another good option. It can be hard to find a salon that provides this service since it%26#039;s relatively new here.
A permanent solution would be laser removal. It is supposed to be better than electrolysis.
There is also a prescription product called Vaniqa. (http://www.vaniqa.com/?CMP=KNC-VU9763023鈥?/a>
Avoid shaving. It doesn%26#039;t make hair grow back darker or thicker. It just seems that way because all the hairs grow back with a straight tip and create stubble. IMHO razor stubble is worse than facial hair on a woman.|||Never shave off any facial hair. Shaving will cause darker and thicker hair growth. Try waxing using cold wax strips.|||Laser hair removal!|||bleaching blond so its less visible or get laser hair removal (quite expensive).|||Electrolysis is the more effective and permanent method for removing facial hair (kinda expensive, but excellent results). Waxing can work, but it can be irritating and the results are very temporary.
Bleaching is not a option, as the skin on the upper lip is extremely delicate. Shaving is another no-no because it will cause the area to darken and the hair will be even thicker when it grows back.|||Bleaching is the best for your daughter because anything else will just promote further hair growth and it%26#039;ll more then likely grow back in thicker.|||One thing you don%26#039;t tell us is how old your daughter is.
Another thing you don%26#039;t tell us is whether her moustache is dark or fair, though if you%26#039;re afraid it wil get darker, I assume it can%26#039;t be black.
There isn%26#039;t a simple answer to this question, but here goes:
Facial hair on girls comes about in the same way as on boys because of
1) the body being sensitized, before birth, to testosterone -- doesn%26#039;t happen to all girls, but does to many
2) the body producing high levels of testosterone
The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in the bloodstream.
As far as removing it is concerned it%26#039;s worth remembering that
* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you%26#039;ve got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it.
* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.
* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and only works properly on very dark hair on light skin.
* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.
Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men%26#039;s-style electric razor, the best of which, for women and girls, are probably those from the men%26#039;s range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US).
I would NOT suggest wet shaving.
Your daughter%26#039;s moustache is not likely to disappear. No method of hair removal is going to prove permanent with hair which is hormonally stimulated. She obviously has more testosterone than you do. Long term, the Norelco is the best approach, imho.

What is the best home made facial mask or scrub that will make your face blemish free?
is lemon good for your face?
whats the best cleaners is stores?
i have proactiv and it does not work.|||lemon is good...but is very acidic. Glycerine, lemon juice, rose water. Worked for me. But don%26#039;t keep it on for too long.

There are plenty of products you can use. Specifically for blemishes on the skin, eveything is good. But i%26#039;ll short list a few items for you, so that you can mix two or three of these and try on your skin. Wwith home made items you don%26#039;t have to worry about reactions.

2.Honey

4.Rose water(use this as a toner and a cleanser at night. This is good for the eys as well)
5.Lemon juice(acidic properties; mix with milk only and put it on with a cotton pad, can be applied on oily skin.)
6.Tomato juice is also good for the blemishes on the skin, but this too has acidic properties so don%26#039;t apply onto skin for a long time. I like Biore%26#039;s IceWash; it has salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide.|||lemon yes. also oatmeal raw with egg is good and let it dry on your face
What is the psychophysical reason behind facial contortions during guitar playing?
I%26#039;d really like to know if anyone has any type of scientific theory about why many guitar players contort their faces while they play.|||I%26#039;ve noticed that too, and have thought it interesting.
I think there are several things going on, actually.
One is concentration, as noted by the other answerer. People often have odd expressions when they are doing something difficult or intense - think of the action shots of pro basketball players as they are driving to the hoop.
A second component is showmanship. I would guess at least some of the expressions of John Mayer are theatrical embellishments.
But I also think there is also some level of unconscious neural involvement that isn%26#039;t just the effect of concentration.
What I have noticed is that a lot of times the guitarists are mouthing the notes as they are playing. So my hypothesis is that the action of playing a guitar is somehow involving the areas of the brain that are involved in oral communication - areas that affect things like rhythm, cadence, and audio structure. We usually employ these areas when we talk, and so I guess that as a player is exerting her/himself to play a solo that sounds rhythmic and melodic and in sync with the rest of the song, s/he is unconsciously manipulating her or his face - and maybe even vocal cords - as though they were somehow speaking the notes from the guitar.
I think that makes sense, but I don%26#039;t know of any studies that have linked involvement of the speech centers of the brain to the production of music.|||It%26#039;s a concentration thing, that%26#039;s all.

What's the best moisturizer or facial cream is the best for dry skin?
My face is really dry.Flaky and its peeling.Sometimes it itch.Anything from the store to prevent it?|||St. Ives makes an Olive face wash and face scrub it makes my skin soft and silky. I have dry skin! Try it!
You could also see a dermatogist if it is that bad too!|||Here is something you can do at night. It leaves you with a bit of a greasy shine, so you don%26#039;t want to do this if you are going out in public.
Wet your face with warm water and blot it, but don%26#039;t rub, etc. It%26#039;s okay if your face feels a bit damp. Then rub on some petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and leave that on.
Water is a great moisturizer. It is when it evaporates that it is drying. The Vaseline will seal in the water and the Vaseline itself is very soothing to dry skin.
If you do this tonight, you will notice a difference in the morning, that%26#039;s how good it works.|||The best way to go is natural. Using natural products assures that it i not something in the ingredients causing your problem, because there are no added chemicals that actually may be irritating or causing your dry skin. Plus they last longer!
You should use a natural soap that contains no alcohol. Some great light moisturizers : Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, and Mango Butter. These are not only moisturizing but have healing properties as well.
The itching is actually a sign that your skin is agitated by something. So instead of finding something to stop the itch, find out what is causing it and stop using it. It could be your moisturizer, your face wash, soap, or even the towels you are using.
My face is extremely sensitive so instead of using a towel, I use my hands. I start by washing my hands really good, then a lather my hands up with black soap, and rub it on my face in a circular motion. Then I splash my face to rinse, and instead of using a towel to dry it off, I lightly blot it with some tissue. my face is still damp when I%26#039;m done, my pores are open, and i follow up with jojoba oil, or grapeseed oil (I like mango butter but at room temperature it is solid and hard to dig out, and in the mornings Im usually in a hurry.) I just put 4 drops into the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, pat it on my face and then using my fingertips I massage it in using a circular motion. It takes no longer for me to do it this way than it did for me to use a towel. And my face breaks out very rarely anymore!
I welcome you to contact me if you have any questions.|||Ask a dermatoligist what they would recomend. They would probably know a solution that is not much money. Always use products without lots of chemicals and artifical things. St.Ives always works well.
Hope it helps.
