But is there any home remedies or something for swelling? I%26#039;ve tried ice.
And something probably unrelated, what is the difference between Tylenol and Ibuprofen?
|||Tylenol has acetaminophen in it.ibuprofen does not.
both can be used to relieve pain, but ibuprofen is what is typically recommended for reduction of swelling in piercings.
ice and ibuprofen can both be used to reduce swelling in piercings if it is excessive. You will not be able to completely eliminate swelling especially in the first few days of having a piercing. also, when you sleep, prop your head up as much as possible to lessen swelling in your sleep
if the swelling that you are experiencing is so bad that it is making your jewelry tight around the hole or sink in to the hole (or both), you need to go back to the piercer and get fitted with longer jewelry. If you leave it, the jewelry will become embedded in your skin and sometimes can only be removed by surgery.
if you are concerned with your swelling, go back to your piercer and get their advice.

What is the best sunscreen to use to avoid facial splotches?
My family and I are going to Florida on vacation. This past summer, I noticed sun discolorations on my jawline and brow and temple when being in the sun. There is no way I%26#039;m staying inside on a vacation! Also, I%26#039;m really not a hat person. If anyone knows of a specific product I can use to avoid these splotches(while still getting a little color) from appearing, please tell me.|||I just went to Mexico and brought SPF 30 %26quot;Color Boosting%26quot; sunblock by Neutrogena. It gave me a beautiful tan everywhere (including my face) and protected me from burning. My color is even and a pretty bronze tone. I love this stuff!|||Kiehl%26#039;s Ultra Protection Water-Based Sunscreen Lotion SPF 15. You can grab it at Nordstroms. You will use it everyday its just that good.|||umbrelle i think makes a special pore friendly sunscreen that doesnt cause skin irritations or spots or break outs.
How much is facial laser hair removal, and how many sessions required?
So i never have to shave again.|||I don%26#039;t know...
but if you ever want to grow a beard you cant...
All i know is it 3 treatments...|||I recently looked into this very question and I was given a quote of $1,500 US for four sessions (spaced 6 weeks apart) that would each remove about 5-20% of dark beard hairs using a Light-Sheer brand laser system. The laser technician then said that a total of 10-12 sessions would be necessary for male facial hair reduction (they did not promise complete removal of all hairs). Thus it could cost up to $4,500. Another factor to consider is that unless you are a transexual on hormone replacement therapy, you will still have testosterone present which can induce new hair growth. You would have to have period additional treatments costing even more money to avoid having to shave again. I have light skin with dark hair (supposedly the ideal case); if you have dark skin or light hair it could take longer. If you have white or gray hairs, laser treatment is ineffective and electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal option.|||male hair or female ......... if male course hair its better as the hair is essayer to remove if hair is like peachy female hair not so easy don%26#039;t know the price in the usa but in scotland its like 拢60 to 拢 80 pounds per siting and you need maybe 7 sits to it s all gone you need to ask at salon for Price s good luck hope this helps some

I can%26#039;t give enough prase to the enzyme peel and the complexion clarifier. I only buy from this website becasue of a few reasons: (1) it%26#039;s owned by a true experienced medical professiona, highly ethical and consumer-oriented. (2)excellent service. I always get a few extras with my order. (3)the natural, organic products are at their freshest. If you should find them on sale, beware %26#039;cause they won%26#039;t work. helps the hair?
no,
but it smells funky|||Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

What are the facial cleanser, moisturizers and astringent brands for oily skin you recommend?
I%26#039;d like to know the steps to use them too.
Thank you mucho!|||Clinique works well but if you have overly oily skin you may need something like Proactive -
Or a three step process - wash, dry face, then apply the toner, and creams (acne or eye area).
Every face differs so essentially you can provide what is best for your face/skin needs.
Nutregena may work, Aveeno, Alba products|||Find a Mary Kay rep in your area. I do not sell Mary Kay, but have used it in the past for my psoriasis. They have a complete line of cleansing products for all skin types. Also the Mary Kay rep will show you how to use the products. If yoy have a Mary Kay party you can get free or reduced mdse.

What sort of facial cleanser should I use?
I have weird combination skin. My forehead constantly stays oily, but at the same time it sheds dead skin. This also happens around my nose and upper cheeks. I was wondering if anyone could recommend an easy to find (say Wal Mart or KMart) cleanser that is for this type of skin. Something that gets rid of the oil without drying out my face and something that deeps cleans and shrinks pores (as my entire family has very large and noticable pores). If someone could please help me out with this problem it would be greatly appreciated!|||Use Origins! People will compliment your skin glow everyday. My friends always asked me what face wash I used when I used it. I%26#039;ve been meaning to go shopping and buy a new one. I%26#039;m currently using this one that the Spa recommended, it doesn%26#039;t have a name, they sale it there at the spa. But I def recommend Origins. It smells good too. The one for combination skin that I used was a clear orange color liquid. Hope that helps. :)|||You may be stripping too many oils from your face when your cleansing. Thats what cause oily skin. Try a moisturizing cleanser believe it or not. You need a cleanser that adds moisture because of the moisture you may be taking out of it. Make sure its OIL-FREE! try neutrogena oil-free acne stress control cream cleanser. Its cheap, amazing for acne, and controlling oil.
Helpful tip: make sure each time you wash your face, you cleanse two times! the first time, it takes off any makeup or dirt that is on your face. the second time, it really washes it and the ingredients in the cleanser will work better!

What is the best and quickest way to relieve facial sinus pressure?
My girlfriend was diagnosed with pneumonia about 3 days ago and now she is having terrible sinus pain on top of that. She is miserable and I am trying to make her more comfortable. Any ideas on relieving sinus pressure especially under the eyes? Thanks in advance.
P.S. she is already taking antibiotics for the pneumonia so we are pretty sure its not an infection.|||A hot steamy bath %26amp; just soak in it providing there is no fever. or a hot steamy shower. Is there a facial treatment that will remove ALL the pimples from my face in one session?
I%26#039;ve had facials with extractions and they don%26#039;t get all the stuff out in the one session.|||Try Freederm Gel, I tried it and must say, it is really effective. Freederm Gel helped me get rid of pimples completely. I bought it for myself from http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/freederm-鈥?/a> . And would recommend it to anyone.|||I%26#039;ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it%26#039;s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I%26#039;m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I%26#039;ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It%26#039;s unique cause of it%26#039;s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn%26#039;t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.|||I don%26#039;t really think there are any ways to get rid of all the pimples on your face in one session. Improving your skin takes time and I would suggest a healthier diet, drinking lots of water, and not switching between lots of different products. Try one thing and wait a few weeks, it wont be instantaneous.

What type of facial cleaning products should I use?
what is your facial cleaning ritual?
do you wear make-up?
my skin has been a mess lately..and i have no idea what type of skin I have.
I think i have combination/sensitive skin but im not really sure. I really dont have any problems until i start picking at my skin...but I can%26#039;t help it because I have these little bumps underneath my skin, they arnt red, white, and arnt black, but when i squeeze them stuff comes out and then the next day my skin is a mess! how do i get rid of this stuff under my skin?|||Start with:
1. Regular facial wash without oils.
2. Lightweight moisturizer.
3. Liquid toner.
Then I...
4. Apply spray foundation with a sponge to even my complexion.
5. Dab on concealer for acne/red spots.
For those things, I just squeeze them out GENTLY and then wash my face. I think that one of the best stuff for acne is LEMON JUICE. Just dab some on your trouble spots, and they%26#039;ll be reduced in size and inflammation within a day, and will be gone in about three days.|||st ives apricot scrub|||none just use soap water|||I use different cleansers. Don%26#039;t pick at your skin most of all. Those things underneath your skin may be pimples not ready to be popped yet, but I reccomend you don%26#039;t pop pimples.
There%26#039;s make-up for covering up those %26quot;things%26quot;. You could also use tinted moisturizer or foundation. And to make it stay on longer you could spray a little hairspray on your face. Watch the eyes, lol.
Hope this helped =)

How is Evian facial mist any different than putting water in a spray bottle?
There%26#039;s got to be something amazingly unique if it costs so much, right? Or is it just a rip-off?|||That%26#039;s exactly what I was wondering when I heard of it!!! =)
Psst, its a marketing scheme. Aquafina does this too. It%26#039;s bascially just nice smelling water and minerals in a pretty bottle that sprays a fine mist.
I recommend the Burts Bees complexion mist, it%26#039;s way better. It%26#039;s natural too, but effective and cheaper.

What can I do to get rid of a facial scar?
My 2 year old nephew recently had a cut extending from his cheek to his chin, and it left a nasty scar. I know that scars can bring on some emotional troubles in the future along with feelings of insecurity in children.

Is there a facial treatment that will remove ALL the pimples from my face in one session?
I%26#039;ve had facials with extractions and they don%26#039;t get all the stuff out in the one session.|||Try Freederm Gel, I tried it and must say, it is really effective.

For those things, I just squeeze them out GENTLY and then wash my face. I think that one of the best stuff for acne is LEMON JUICE. There%26#039;s make-up for covering up those %26quot;things%26quot;. You could also use tinted moisturizer or foundation. And to make it stay on longer you could spray a little hairspray on your face. Watch the eyes, lol.

How to reduce facial swelling and numbness?

What should I do/take to speed up my recovery process?|||stop getting into fights.|||O,K., first let me say that I haven%26#039;t had to do something like this before but with what I understand about the body and muscles I think I can help you. I found that most swelling is because of muscles that have been tightened because of some trauma to them. You have two sets of muscles that are the primary targets for you to feel better. Here%26#039;s the first:
Place your thumbs under your chin near the front. You should feel a very hard muscle in the middle, press into that from both sides and hold. Relax, take a deep breath and exhale and don%26#039;t tense up any part of your body. When you feel the muscle start to relax, slowly raise your head, going only as fast as the release allows, until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute longer.
the next one is a little more complicated I guess, finding the place for this one is trickier.
Place your thumbs behind your ears and rest them between the jaw and the skull. I usually rest my fingers on my head while doing this one. Press in on the back of the jaw and towards the top of it and hold the pressure there. Relax again. After 30 to 45 seconds the release should be there. Slowly lift your head while maintaining the pressure but not going any faster than the release allows. When you have your neck fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute longer.
With those muscles released you should find some relief. These exercises you can do over and over if needed.

How long until my face clears up after a facial?
I heard that getting facials can sometimes lead to break outs. Well, I%26#039;m having a bad one right now, and I just want to know how long this will last, should I just leave it, or should I try all sorts of tricks to get rid of these things?
Also, I%26#039;m scheduled for another facial in two weeks. Should I go back to this person?|||Breaking out from a facial is perfectly normal, it%26#039;s just your skin purging. While none of us want to be broken out, it%26#039;s actually a good sign after you get a facial because it means the gross %26quot;stuff%26quot; in your skin is making it%26#039;s way to the surface and out of your pores.
You should definitely go back for your next appointment. Just make sure you realize the difference between an allergic reaction and breaking out...they can often look the same but if you are having an allergic reaction to something used during your facial, you need to be aware of it.
Leave your face alone, let it do it%26#039;s thing.

What Is The Difference Between a Clinical Facial and a Facial?
I haven%26#039;t had a facial for like 2 months and I am freaking out. Usually I get European facials but I only have 50$ and they cost 85$ the salon I got to offers clinical facials but I forgot to ask what are they. I have never heard of them they are cheaper so what is the difference??|||You can get a clinical facial or a %26quot;medical%26quot; facial at a doctors office and just pay a co-pay.
They cleanse your skin, steam it, and extract black heads and white head bumps.
They exfoliate with something.
I don%26#039;t think they put a mask on, they probably don%26#039;t, but they may.
With a European facial, which is done at a spa type salon facility, they put you in a tranquil room with the lights down low and while they cleanse they massage your skin and make it a a relaxing experience. At these facials they may or may not do extractions at all. Make sure you ask or if you go this route, make sure you ask them if they do. Even if they do, they don%26#039;t do much.
I like to do both clinical AND european facials.
At a european facial they always do massage as part of the service, not just your face, but even your shoulders, arms and hands, depending on the place, and may even put your hands in wax and put warm hand mitts and even foot mitts on. They also put a mask on at the end.

What is the best and safest way to remove facial hair without the hair getting thicker and returning quickly?
Okay, I am 15 and I have huge eyebrows and a hint of a mustache. Is that normal for a teen girl? I don%26#039;t want it to get thinker, darker, and bushier which is my main concern. I was thinking the safest way is just shaving the mustache off. When you shave does it remove the root? What do you think I should do? I don%26#039;t really like the idea of waxing or threading because that removes the root. And I%26#039;m not going to do anything permanent like laser now.|||Shaving does not remove the root and it will grow back darker and thicker so I sy don%26#039;t do it. Waxing is the least expensive, long lasting solution. You can generally get it done every 3-4 weeks depending on the speed of your hair growth. But it you%26#039;re afraid of the pain then bleaching might be best for you.|||DONT SHAVE!! Ok, im around your age, and I literally have the same problem (except for the eyebrow part) but the other part,ya. I went to my mom and talked about how it makes me really self consious. she instantly understood and took me to the store the next day. I got sally hansen waxing strips, and they are really great! I thought it would hurt a lot but, it seroiusly wasnt that bad AT ALL. It gets a little red for a bit, so do it before you go to bed, but by the morning its awesome! i really hope it works out! and ur not alone! good luk!And btw, removing from the root is kinda good cause it then the hair eventualy just comes growing less and less, thinner and thinner :)|||DO NOT SHAVE!!!

Are there any disadvantages in using a facial scrub? Can it damage your facial skin?

What are some good facial products to keep your face healthy?
What are some good products to use on your face that keeps your face healthy and are found pretty commenly?|||i have the best skin around or so ive heard haha and i use tonsss of products as well as prescription products.
i dont have terrible skin to begin with, but i do get a few occasional pimples like twice a month that are usually big but since i use so many products i hardly ever get them.
you dont really need everything that i have, ill make a seperate list of what you should buy..
prescription products:
clindamycin phosphate (yellow label) i use this for in the daytime like under makeup if i have a problem area and i think a pimple is about to pop up. or to kill bacteria in some problem areas.
differin.. i use this to dry out pimples at night
avita ( i am not sure if this is a prescription medication ) but it is amazing! if i have a big pimple, i just dab it on right over the pimple, go to sleep and its at least a half size smaller in the morning.
over the counter:
pro activ. everyone has it, its great, buy it.
i have the renewing cleanser, which i use for deep pore cleansing and to clean out black heads.
i also have the refining mask, which is just a mask that clears up your skin fast! it gets rid of lots of small blemishes as well as blackheads.
then i have the repairing lotion which i use on blemishes(not pimples, just small white heads, or blemishes)
triple antibiotic ointment: i use this when I have dry, flaky skin, i just put on a thin amount, go to sleep and my skin is fixed by morning. i also use this to speed up the healing process of pimples that have been popped and the skin peeled off around or something like that.
but dont use too much cause it can also cause pimples, but it doesnt happen too often
neutrogena%26#039;s oil free acne wash in pink grapefruit.: i use this to wash my face twice a day.
neutrogena%26#039;s clear pore facial mask/cleanser. its like a two in one thing, you can either use it as a mask and leave it on for 5 minutes or a face wash. the great thing about it is that when you put it on your face, it feels so cold, and so when you wash it off you feel fresh and like you have new skin, plus it minimizes the size of your pores and gets rid of blackheads.
neutrogena%26#039;s clear pore oil eliminating astringent (its a light blue/green color) this stuff is great, i use it after i wash my face to dry out pimples and then i put on that avita stuff.
stuff you need:
-avita

-triple anitbiotic ointment
-neutrogena%26#039;s oil free acne wash in pink grapefruit (or regular , it doesnt matter)
-neutrogena%26#039;s clear pore facial mask/cleanser
-and you need a good lotion, i use aveeno cause it isnt scented and it really moisturizes your skin, you should put it on your face after you wash it or your face will get really dry
-and drink water, it flushes out your system
-and dont use facial masks everyday cause it can seriously dry out your skin and also washing your face too often and using too many products can cause your face to break out so use a moderate amount dont keep applying more and more to get rid of a pimple, because it will probably just get worst.
hope this helped

How do you make facial sunburns peel in 1 day?
Most of my face is sunburned and now it%26#039;s peeling on my nose and my forehead. How can I make it all get peeled by tomorrow?|||I%26#039;d be careful about doing that; your skin will not peel until the skin under it is ready to be exposed to the elements. I would gently - GENTLY, now - wash with a mild cleanser and washcloth to exfoliate the skin that is ready to shed; then before going out, put on a heavy-duty moisturizer under your makeup. What is the best facial wash or soap to use?
I have combination skin and mosts soaps even the ones for sensitive skin and combination skin leave my skin dry and tight which are the best ones to use ?|||Probably the simplest answer is don%26#039;t use soap.
Most soaps are chemical based and many of them still use carbolics substance and sometimes caustic soda.
Lush make handmade soaps and cleansers which are cruelty free and in a lot of cases organic. These won%26#039;t dry out your skin.

How do the facial features of the Chinese differentiate from those of the Japanese?
And other Asian races, such as Vietnamese, Korean, etc. Because I would like to be able to tell the difference at a glance, just like Asians usually can. Thanks.|||China is such a huge country there is actually quite a lot of difference in appearance between people from different regions. It%26#039;s like going to some foreign place and identifying someone as being %26quot;American,%26quot; there%26#039;s no one standard face and you might go by clues having to do with bearing or clothing.
It%26#039;s also a myth that Asians can tell other Asians apart with perfect accuracy.

How do I get rid of fleas around the facial area of my kitten?
I gave a bath to my 2 month old kitten with flea removal shampoo but there are still fleas felt. So I went to the store to get a flea collar but all the fleas have moved to the facial area. How can I get rid (EXTERMINATE!!) of the fleas?|||Take the flea collar off the kitten. They can be very dangerous for them!
I would use a pair of tweezers to pick the fleas from the face. When you get a flea dunk it in a mug of very hot water to die.
At two months of age the kitten can have Advantage or Frontline which is absolutely the best way to get rid of fleas. The vet will give you the proper dosage to get started. It may be less expensive in future to get the stuff online and start with the vet to make sure you understand how much the kitten should have on him/her.|||To safely kill fleas read the following free article.

|||At 2 months your kitten is now old enough to use Frontline or Advantage flea preventatives, and please apply one of them immediately. Flea collars are ineffectual and dangerous (cats can hang themselves from the collar, and will often chew on them if they can, which will poison them).
Use the Frontline every 2-6 weeks as directed, and you will find in a few months that there are no fleas in your home, yard, or on your cat.|||you have to wash the cats face. use regular soap and water lots of water be careful around the eyes so no soap gets in. put vasaline or something on the face and leave it on to drown the fleas then wash again. good luck if it doesn%26#039;t work you may have to take the cat to the vet for a flea dip|||Since you are dealing with a kitten---take that flea collar off of her NOW! Call your vet about this and see what they recommend. Do NOT use ANYTHING made for adult cats on a kitten, you could kill your kitty---also do NOT use ANYTHING over-the-counter on ANY CAT. If you can see the fleas around her face, then she has them all over her body (she%26#039;s just too furry for you to see them, but they%26#039;re there). Your vet may have a KITTEN flea soap, or even a treatment such as Frontline or Advantage--MADE FOR KITTENS. Do NOT use the adult kind on her! Best of luck in getting this under control, and you will. Last year I had a total infestation of fleas on my (adult) strictly INDOOR cat. How this happened is anybody%26#039;s guess, but just one application of Frontline Plus did the job---but, you CANNOT use this product on a kitten. Just follow your vets instructions.|||Take the kitten to the vets.|||you have to get the flea collar off IMMEDIATELY....they are poison especially if it is a Hartz brand...the cat is too young for ANY type of flea care...my cat almost died due to a flea collar...keep bathing until there are no more fleas that is all you have to do and make sure that you get all the flea eggs too|||Most important, get the flea collar off the cat and get something from your vet to treat the kitten topically. Over-the-counter drugs do not have the same dose and ingredients as the stuff that vets can sell. Second, fleas only live about 10% of the time on the pet, so you need to also rid the source. Bedding and baskets that the kitten sleeps in should be discarded. Washing in bleach or hot water will not kill all the flea eggs. Reinfestation is high if you do not clean out the source. If the kitten is indoor/outdoor you will have to treat with something like Advantage Multi every 30 days for all summer. If your kitten is indoor only, get 2 doses from your vet (Advantage Multi/Frontline/Revolution - whatever your vet feels is most appropriate, I use Advantage Multi) treat your kitten with the correct size dose, and then repeat in 30 days to kill any adults that have survived in the house. Also, vaccuum the area really well, and then empty your vaccuum right away to an outside garbage. Fleas are persistant and you want to reduce the amount of live adults to reduce the amount of eggs that can be laid again. Talk to your vet, they will have effective premise sprays and more advice. Good Luck and if you have any other dogs or cats in the house, treat them also at the same time as the kitten or this will keep happening.|||Flea collars are useless, so are shampoos I%26#039;m afraid! Collars onnly get rid of the fleas that actually touch them, and sadly fleas are clever enough to stay away, as you%26#039;ve discovered.
You need to go to a vet to get some proper treatment. You can use Frontline - at two months old you can use the spot-on (drops on back of the neck) - this stuff spreads all over the skin and all fleas on the animal will be dead within 24 hours. If you want them gone quicker, use Frontline spray - it%26#039;s messier and more unpleasant for the cat, but the fleas will be dead within a few hours.
Don%26#039;t bother anymore with shop-bought products - you%26#039;ve just discovered what a waste of time and money they are!

Can shaving your facial hair everyday do any harm to your skin?
Im female and have been shaving my facial hair which is all over my face for over 12 years. I do get alot of black heads and ingrown hair but what other harm can it do to my skin? I recently stopped shaving to try other hair removal methods but have given up as nothing is effective :( So Im considering shaving again. Is this a good idea?|||Hair does not grow thicker just because you shave it, that biologically makes zero sense. The reason shaved hair feels more coarse is because you have cut the hair in half, leaving an edge cut from the middle of a hair instead of the smooth thinner tip that would grow in naturally if you did not cut it. You can looks this up anywhere, hair does NOT grow in thicker from shaving.
As for your skin, it will cause as you have said ingrown hairs, the shaving does act as an exfoliator which can dry out your skin but other than that no you are not doing any damage. I would suggest waxing or threading only because regular shaving is annoying and professional facial waxes are relatively inexpensive.|||Hey, if you don%26#039;t mind doing it and you can%26#039;t afford laser treatments, unlike some people here, then you go for it. Waxing is an option too though.
Beauty is not everything in life and the universe, and no you won%26#039;t turn into a man from shaving... please people.
If you do shave often, prepare your face first with warm water and oil/lotion to reduce drying and irritation.|||I don%26#039;t think you should shave almost everyday, like, just once a week.
And I don%26#039;t think it would do any harm, but I%26#039;m not professional.
But my mom DID tell me that the more you shave, the more the hair grows back thicker..|||Don%26#039;t ever shave your face. You can shave your body but not your face. Not only does that make you feel masculine but it makes the hair grow back thicker. You also can get ingrown hairs for sure!
Use wax strips!|||No, no no please don%26#039;t do it, I had a friend at uni who did this and once she started shaving, you could see her stubble unless she shaved everyday. Please wax or get some electroylsis but DO NOT SHAVE YOUR FACE IF YOU ARE FEMALE!|||WHY ARE YOU SHAVING? DO LASER. IMMEDIATELY! Your hair will grow back black and thick if you shave AND you will feel like a man.|||you should never shave your face
because the hair will grow back like on a mans face
its much better to tweeze or wax it|||DO NOT shave your face! EVER! Get is waxed and let it grow!

How to shave facial hair that swirls when it grows out?
I have tried just about everything, and no matter what I do I get razor bumps/irritation or ingrown hairs only on my neck due to my facial hair growing out in all different directions. Does anyone know anything I can do to help alleviate my problems when I shave. I always shave after a shower, use a single blade, a good shaving cream, and moisturize afterwords.|||apply some Neat Essential oil of Lavender

I have unwanted facial hair and unwanted hair on my arms. What is the best way to get rid of it?
I know that shaving is probably the worst possible answer. It makes the hair grow back thicker and darker. Also, my natural hair color is black, so it%26#039;s noticeable.|||Shaving does NOT make the hair grow back thicker and darker. This is a myth. What does happen to make it more annoying after shaving...in addition to being stubbly...
is that when you shave a hair, you cut it in the middle of its growth, and when it comes back in, what you SEE coming back is the widest part of a CUT hair. If you PULL the hair out with tweezers, waxing, or epilady, etc you are removing all the hair that has been produced so what comes back is a new hair with its original tapered end.
It is kind of like how a tree grows, from a big thick trunk to little bitty twigs at the top. This is not possible, but it helps to understand...If you cut a tree from its trunk, and if it could continue to grow, (which it can%26#039;t) the new %26quot;top%26quot; of the tree would be the place where you cut it, all wide and fat, and definitely more visible than a little sprout or a skinny little stick. But if you yanked the tree OUT from its roots and if it could grow back, it would resurface from the ground as a little seedling again. Does this make sense?
The problem is that hair growth doesn%26#039;t stop even when you yank the hairs out, you have to KILL the follicle, which usually requires electricity and a certain amount of timing. I went to an electrolysis specialist a few times and couldn%26#039;t afford to keep going. She said even if she did everything right, she had to keep zapping the same hair over and over again until she caught a stage when it was starting to grow...or something like that. Anyway, about two hundred dollars down the drain and I have as much hair as ever. I don%26#039;t know if she killed any and more grew up because I am in a weird stage of life or what...at age 38 my body has changed a little bit lately.
Anyway, when you wax, I have heard that you can do enough damage to hair follicles that the hairs just don%26#039;t grow back again. This is the promise of Nads too, the edible stuff that is supposed to be painless and hurts like hell. Which makes the whole process seem kind of traumatic, I don%26#039;t know if I would want that for my SKIN.
There is Vaniqa, a prescription cream that works on, I think, the hormonal level, right there at the skin. Then they also say that if you talk to your gyno, you can get birth control pills that help balance the hair growth.
And there is epil stop, what these products do (the spray part after you remove the hair) is PLUG the follicle so the hair can%26#039;t grow...I imagine this is like the opposite of Rogaine which unplugs the follicle so the hair CAN grow.
When I was getting electrolysis, I was encouraged that if I didn%26#039;t come in for a while, and wanted to do something about the hair in between visits, NOT to pull them out with waxing or tweezers, etc. She said to SHAVE it. She said it was less traumatic to the skin than pulling them out, and less disruptive to the electrolysis process.
So from one hairy girl to another. I wish I was a little less bushy too...but so far, I have no answers, just experiences, and probably more myths.|||I %26#039;ve had Indo Asian friends who had some waxing done and they look gorgeous and their skin appears flawless. When complimented, they always laugh and say that being beautiful comes with a price, and the price is pain. They describe waxing and it does sound like torture. Waxing gets rid of face hair and arm and leg and even bikini line hairs.
Eyebrows can be plucked or threaded or mini waxed. Unfortunately, this whole business gets repeated every few weeks , I think.
Whoever said that women are the weaker sex must be out of their minds.|||When I used to be 12, I hated the hair on my arms and legs. But then I tried %26quot;Nair%26quot; products and they come off easily. They are very inexpensive, about 4 USD. But you have to redo it about every 3 weeks.|||Laser, but be warned, it is very painful, but works very well.|||bleach it. it makes ur hair light brown. so its barely noticible. its the best solution. i have the same prob too.|||It happens as you get older due to hormone changes in your body. They heal up pretty well.|||yes, the secretary at work had many facial piercings. she has a child now %26amp; has many %26quot;pits%26quot; in her face where the piercings used to be. once you damage skin, there is no backing up. the hole will be the size of the bar that is placed thru it. over time it will close a little, but will look like a %26quot;pit%26quot; in your face.|||I had my nose pierced for a few years and when I took it out, it closed up within a week, without leaving a scar. It really depends on how well your skin heels.
x|||it depends a lot on how well u take care of ur piercing. and if it healed right. dont worry if u take care of ur piercing after its removed, its gonna heal just fine =) no marks or ugly scars!

What is the cost of a laser or chemical facial peel, and does it remove blackheads?
I have tons of tiny blackheads all over my face from repeated applications of makeup throughout the day. I wash and exfoliate my face twice a day, but since I wear a full face of make up everyday, I cannot seem to escape the blackheads! What is the best way to remove all of them at once, and what does it cost?|||I have acne and I have tired microdermabrasion and chemical peels. They both didn%26#039;t work for me and they were both painful. The microdermabrasion felt like she was rubbing sand paper across my face. The chemical peels stings very bad and then it severely dries your skin out for about a week and you have the dead skin all over your face and it looked very bad during that time. Your skin is peeling away during that week. For 7 treatments of microdermabrasion cost around $1000 and for 7 treatments of chemical peels cost $1500.
If you don%26#039;t want to spend that kind of money try one of these methods:
Use an oatmeal or almond mask thoroughly to cleanse your face. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub it on your skin with your fingertips, paying special attention to the problem areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
Apply undiluted lemon juice, twice or thrice a day, on the affected areas.
A solution made out of one and a half cups of hot water and half a tablespoon of boric powder is an ideal concoction for blackheads. Saturate a face napkin in this hot solution and press on to the skin, repeat twice. Extract blackheads carefully with a blackhead remover and sterilized cotton-wool.
Warm a little honey and apply on the trouble spots. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.|||check the links below for natural homemade beauty tips to:blackheads

Are different types of facial hairs like people with like diff types of beards goatees and all that related to their heritage?|||They tend to identify the region people live in, like the style of pants or shoes. What is fashionable in Berlin may not be in Beloit. It may identify a religion; some devout Muslims, Jews, Sikhs and the odd Christian denominations wear distinctive beards. The Amish, for instance, have beards.

What kind of facial creams are good for dry skin?
After I shower and dry off. My face is always extremely dry. Like I just got out of a chlorinated swimming pool. I usually just use Vaseline and rub in very well. But I hate that greasy feel. What kind of creams work well, don%26#039;t have that greasy feel, and I can rub in well. I%26#039;m also looking for something that doesn%26#039;t make my face break out in acne as well after applying it by clogging pores and such.|||I use proactive cream. There whole brand is great for me. Or try neutrogena skin id. When you have dry spots scrub it then right away put cream on. Do this day and night. When looking for face stuff try to find something that says for dry skin, it should help. Best of luck.|||I always use first aid cream. It%26#039;s not greasy like all the other creams.
